Day 1 - March 11th 2024

Today was a very adventurous day.
The day started for me at 7:00 as I went for breakfast with Wout, Thijs, Joannes and I, Vico did not want to have breakfast.
Then it was quick to prepare and leave for the internship site at 7:45 by bus. In the end, this was way too early as Wout and I were in Dublin city center by 9:00 and had to start at 10:00. We did some exploring for the remaining time.

When we almost had to start we went to our internship sites. It was a bit stressful for me but in the end it was a lot of fun.
I had to spend a whole day gathering info on companies in France that had something to do with taxes. I had to get the name of the company, location of the company, phone number, email address and website. I then had to put this information into an Excel file. It was a very repetitive process but had expected this for a first day, not much to do but enough to keep you busy for a whole day.
There were two other exchange students from Germany. All of us went to get lunch not far from the company. After lunch, we went straight back to work until I was allowed to leave.

When everyone had finished working, we agreed to meet at Wout's company because it was close by and everyone knew where it is. Once everyone arrived, we walked around a bit more and took the bus back home. This took a while but we were able to keep busy in the meantime. We were welcomed by Martina (the owner of the house) and had dinner shortly after we arrived. The food was very good, simple but tasty. After dinner a quick phone call and then went for a shower to end the day.
