The stench of the beast.

Today I was woken up by the sound of my extremely tall roommates alarm. I went downstairs after getting dressed, and ate a singular bowl of cornflakes. After this I started preparing my bag for the day. I packed a box of cookies that I could eat for lunch (I completely forgot about them), my notebook, and some other stuff. Not longer after I departed for the bus.

I got off the train at Blackrock station, and got met by a nearly unbearably chilly breeze coming from the direction of the sea. Safe to say I regretted choosing the thin clothing that I was wearing. I walked to the Blackrock village center mall, and opened up the FixIt store. Since I was early, I took my time sweeping the floor. My supervisor arrived some time later. I spend almost the entire day dissasembling harddrives. For some reason my supervisor wants the platters and magnets inside of them. The day went by fast, despite the fact that there weren’t a lot of customers. In fact, this entire week has been unusually quiet. Or last week was just abnormally busy, who knows.

When my lunch break came, I quickly made my way towards a nearby Chinese restaurant, completely forgetting about the cookies in my backback. I ate Teryaki Chicken Bento. Both Teryaki and the concept of bento aren’t Chinese, but Japanese, so I have no clue why they have it. Curious.

When I returned I just continued doing what I was doing. When the harddrives ran out, I just sat around, trying to help out with the few customers that came. I also talked with my supervisor about various things completely unrelated with work, and watched many video’s on various topics, like diodes, inductors, how to repair CRT’s, et cetera. Safe to say I'll never use any of this knowledge, but whatever.

After I was done for the day, I took the train and took a stroll through central Dublin. I decided that I wasn’t going to visit the book store with ancient books like I usually do, and just go home without really doing anything.

Thus, I returned to the house of the host family, and entered the absolutely foul-smelling room I sleep in (it reeks because a certain brobdingnagian roommate sweats so much you could mistake him for the Liffey river). We also got served weird dinner. And so, here I am, sitting on the top bunk and writting this blog.
