Today was a special day for me in Dublin because it was my last day of my internship. It felt a bit emotional because the past weeks went by very quickly and I got used to the daily routine here. In the morning I went to work as usual. I tried to enjoy every morning because I knew it was the final day. At work everything was quite normal, but it also felt different knowing that it was the last time I would be there. I talked with some colleagues and thanked them for the experience and for being friendly during my internship. Doing my internship in Dublin was a really interesting experience and I learned many new things, not only about work but also living in another country.

After finishing work, I went back home to my host family. In the evening we did something really fun together. We decided to make sushi ourselves. None of us are professional chefs, but we all helped and it turned into a very fun activity. We prepared the rice, cut the vegetables and fish, and then tried to roll the sushi. At first it was a bit difficult because the rolls didn’t always stay together, but after some practice it became easier.

Making sushi together was a nice way to celebrate my last day. It felt very cozy and relaxed. We laughed a lot because some of the sushi rolls looked a bit funny, but in the end they actually tasted really good. After everything was ready we had a small sushi evening together and we ate everything we made. It was really a nice moment and a perfect way to end my last day of internship in Dublin. I will definitely remember this day because it was both emotional and fun. Finishing my internship feels like the end of an important experience, but I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to live and work in Dublin for a while.
