Hello everyone, today I will be telling you a bit about my stay in Dublin. We are staying in Tallaght, near the Dodder Valley Park. It’s a 50-minute bus ride to our workplace, which gives us time to relax, listen to music, or admire the city views along the way.
I, Fabian, wake up at 7:00. After that, I start getting ready for work. Lando, my roommate, likes to sleep in a little longer and wakes up at 7:35. Once we’re both ready, we take a 10-minute walk to the bus stop, enjoying the fresh morning air and the peaceful streets. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes, during which we sometimes chat or plan our day.
When we arrive in Dublin, we head to our workplace, a modern office building with a great atmosphere. During our work hours, we usually focus on tasks like updating databases, researching information, and finding contact details for upcoming events. The work can be challenging, but it’s also rewarding because we know we’re contributing to something important.
At 13:00, we take a one-hour lunch break. We try to find affordable yet delicious food so we don’t spend too much money. Sometimes, we bring homemade lunches to save even more. After eating, we return to the office and continue working until the afternoon, focusing on completing our projects.
When our workday ends, we often take a walk through the city center, exploring Dublin’s vibrant streets and enjoying the lively atmosphere. Afterward, we head home to freshen up and relax. Around 7:30, Julia, our host, calls us down for dinner. Lando, another exchange student from Mexico, and I sit together, enjoying the meal and sharing stories from our day. After dinner, we usually unwind with some free time, marking the end of another productive day in Dublin
