Every morning for me starts at 7am. With an early start, I take the time to wake up quietly, eat a hearty breakfast and prepare myself for the day ahead. This routine has become like a ritual, a gentle start that prepares me for the adventures to come.
After my morning routine, my journey to my internship begins, an adventure in itself. Two trains and a bus ride later, interspersed with a bit of walking, I finally reach my destination. It takes some effort and perseverance, but I always arrive on time.
The day starts at full speed as soon as I arrive at my internship location. My boss is happy with the work I did yesterday, and we dive right into today's work. While we're getting started, a minor setback happens to me: an accident with a case results in a cut on my finger. Luckily it's nothing serious, a little water and a band-aid is enough to get me back to work.
My colleague Conor arrives during my work. We take a moment to catch up before diving back into the tasks of the day. Today's agenda is to make special devices for the American market. It's an interesting challenge, with some subtle differences compared to our standard products.
Conor and I work together on these devices. We divide the work and help each other where necessary. During a well-deserved coffee break in the nearby Java Republic café, we recharge with coffee and treats before we get back to work.
After the break we continue assembling Raspberry Pi devices. Even though Conor thought he would be faster, it turns out we actually work just as fast. Together we put everything together and prepare the job for delivery.
As the day comes to an end, I take some time to fold boxes before heading home. The return journey is just as adventurous as the outward journey, with two buses and a train taking me home safely.
This is how a day in my life as an intern ends, a day full of challenges, teamwork and adventurous journeys to work. Every moment brings new experiences and learning opportunities, and I look forward to what the next day will bring.
