Day 4 – Februari 20th 2025

Grrrrrr… This is me, absolutely not wanting to get up because, once again, I went to bed way too late. Seriously, why do I do this to myself? But no time to dwell on it, I had to get ready in record time. I even had to brush my teeth in the kitchen because my friend Lennert was using the bathroom to shower. Breakfast? Nope, no time for that either. Luckily, I had a box of biscuits waiting for me at my internship desk, so that became my breakfast.

When we arrived at Tara Street, I grabbed a white Monster from the station shop (my survival drink for the day), since we had only gone to bed at 1:30 AM. At work, I started the day with a quick chat with my colleagues before diving into my tasks: updating job seekers' statuses to Active or Passive, if it hadn’t been done already.

At lunchtime, I met up with my friend Gilian for a meal at Burger King, since his internship is not too far from mine. A much-needed break!

After work, Gilian and I headed to O’Connell Bridge to meet up with our other friends and my roommates. Once everyone was finally there, we took a stroll through St. Stephen’s Green, a perfect way to unwind after a long day. After our walk, we wandered down the shopping street and ended up in the Disney Store, where we met the real (and massive) Hulk. Totally unexpected but definitely a highlight!

As I’m writing this, we’ve just finished dinner. But before eating, we had a nice chat with our host family and played with the dog. After dinner, we cleaned up and grabbed our laptops for a gaming session.

Fun fact: We were absolutely furious when we accidentally took the wrong train home. This meant we had to go all the way back to Connolly and then take the right train home. A classic end to a chaotic day!
