Today was another interesting day in Dublin. I started my morning by getting ready for work and taking some time to plan my day. The weather was typical Dublin; a bit cloudy but still fresh and pleasant, which made the walk outside enjoyable.
Living here has already made me appreciate how lively the city is.
I began the day with my internship tasks at work, I helped with activities and assisted customers, wich allowed me to practice my English a lot. Everyday I feel more confident speaking with people, and I notice that I understand different accents better than when I first arrived. My colleagues were friendly as always, and we worked together to make sure everything went smoothly. I also learned a few new things today.
After finishing work, I met up with Adam. We decided to eat together at Abrakebabra kebab. It was a nice moment to relax after a very long day. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable and it felt good to sit down talk and enjoy our food together. I ordered a kebab which was warm and filling, and we spent time talking about our day in Dublin, and funny experiences we had since being here. Moments like these make the experience abroad more enjoyable because you get to share it with others.
Later in the evening I walked around the city a bit before heading back. Dublin looks different at night - the streets look lively, and there is always movement with people going to restaurants, busses passing, and lights reflecting on the streets. I took some time to appreciate the city. And realised how much I'm learning from this experience, living in another country is a huge task.
When I returned home, I relaxed, checked my messages, and prepared everything for tomorrow so I can start the next day organized. Overall, today was a balanced day at work, social time and personal moments. Experiences like these show me how much you can learn from internships abroad. And thats why I'm looking forward for the next days.
