Day 4 - March 14th 2024

The day started today at 7:10 when my alarm woke me up. I got ready immediately to leave for work because I’m the only one in this house who doesn’t eat breakfast.
After everyone got ready, we left for work, taking the bus at 08:02 and ended up at Trinity College, where I had to separate from the group to go to the shopping center where I work.

When I arrived at work, I had to do the following. I arrived at work as usual at 10:00. First, I started by helping Simon unload his minivan. For this, I had to get a shopping cart because we needed a lot of tools for the big task we were going to do up in our lab. After gathering all the tools, I took the shopping cart upstairs and laid out all the tools on the long table. But before I did this, I had to slide everything that was still on the table underneath it.

Once all the tools were on the table, I had to return the shopping cart to where I found it, and then the real work could begin. First, we removed the tube to which the electrical cables were connected. After this was done, I had to take this tube to his van. When I returned, I was given the task of cutting cables to about 600mm. This was not so difficult but still fun to do. After that, I was tasked with removing the cables from the casing, which was also fun to do but my hands got really dirty (but don’t worry, I don’t mind getting my hands a bit dirty).
After this was done, I inserted the cables into the open holes to connect to the sockets that had to go in. Then I hung all the sockets on the wall and had to screw them in. Once this was done, I immediately tested to see if they worked, and they all did the first time.
The whole lab was completely finished in 3 hours. In the last hour, I mainly had to clean up the lab, and then I threw the dirt in the trash outside the center and I could leave at 14:00.

When I left the shopping center, I took the bus to the city because everyone works here except for me and Joannes. Before I went to the agreed point, there were a few girls who wanted to take a picture (Fan girls, of course). When I was done with that, I immediately went to the shopping center where Wout works because this is a central point for everyone.

Eventually, when everyone was there, we went to the park together to make a call with ADC College because we had to be in a quiet place and we couldn’t go home yet because we can only enter at 17:30.
After everyone finished their call, we went to Urban Outfitters to look at clothes. Here, Wout and Luka bought a sweater and a jacket.

After this whole tour, we went home where our delicious dinner was waiting for us. The dinner was really delicious. BUT THEN!!! I suddenly had to go to the bathroom very urgently. This was fine for me but unfortunately not for the toilet because I clogged it. I told our landlord Paul and he fixed it. It was a very exciting situation but definitely funny. All’s well that ends well.

After all this happened, I of course wrote my quick internship report and after that, I started this fun blog.
