Waking up at 7 am, I began my day like any other. After getting dressed, I made my way downstairs for breakfast. Today, it was toast with marmalade—a simple pleasure that never fails to satisfy.
With breakfast done, I set off for work. Two trains and a bus later, totaling about an hour and a half commute, I arrived at the workplace and jumped right into action.
While waiting for instructions from my colleague, my boss suggested I fold boxes or assemble i-sPi devices if there was nothing else to do. So, I started with folding about twenty boxes before diving into the assembly of i-sPi's.
My first task was installing Linux Mint, followed by a crash course from my colleague on the assembly process. It involved a fair amount of waiting and clicking buttons on the admin website, but I quickly got the hang of it.
Midday came around, and my colleague and I decided to grab Burger King for lunch, accompanied by some coffee to fuel us for the rest of the day.
After finishing up the i-sPi assembly, I prepared more boxes for the devices to be packaged and shipped out. As I wrapped up my tasks, I received unexpected praise—being dubbed the fastest intern ever and setting a record for the number of devices assembled (120 in the first week, plus an additional 40 this Tuesday). My colleague, bidding me farewell, thanked me for my contributions before I headed home.
The journey back took roughly one hour and forty minutes, involving two buses and a train ride. Dinner awaited me at home—fries with spicy seasoned meat—a satisfying end to a fulfilling day.
To me, it might have seemed like any other workday, but it was a good one—a day where I accomplished more than I could have imagined.
