Today after waking up at 7 am I firstly ate breakfast. After which I took our last few pieces of clothing out of the dryer. Then Zeinedin, Awni and I all relaxed a bit.
Around 11 am we all got ready to leave the house. Firstly we quickly went to a nearby grocery store to buy a few drinks and a snack. Then we relocated to the bus stop and took a bus to Killester. Around half 2 we took the train towards Howth.
After arriving at the train station of Howth the whole group gathered around entill everyone was there. The teacher gave us the rundown of the path we were taking. Then our ascent started with a stroll through the first few streets. After that there were paths we had to follow. The starting views were already really pretty. The climb was not really that hard but still exhausting.
A bit of walking later I spotted a seal. Sadly it dove underwater before we could snap a picture. There were serious amounts of wind during the whole walk.
Once the walk was over we took the train back to Killester. After a bus ride back to our host family. We watched a movie. We had chicken with peas and crisps. During our meal we had a very nice conversation with the German exchange student and the hostess. We talked about languages and how life in our countries of origin is. Our host talked about the fight against child labour in India, how there are quite a few dangerous animals and how most middleclass families can afford a personal driver. Zeinedin talked about Eritrea and its language. Also counting to 10 in Tigrigna. Awni talked about Palestine and the Arabic language. The German student: Liam also talked about Germany, comparing it’s language to the Dutch language. After this conversation we washed off our plates and put them in the washer. The day ends for us after we have finished the movie.
